Victorian compost company ScatoPlus has installed the world’s first concentrated solar photovoltaic power station. The 200kW concentrated PV system uses mirrors and reflects sunlight all pointing in one location to create energy.

ScatoPlus, located in Newbridge just west of Bendigo, will generate about a quarter of their energy from this technology, that is said to be 20% more efficient than comparable solar systems.

Solar energy has the potential to become the largest producer of energy on the planet for years to come, and this latest advancement is a big step forward.
