Our commercial solar customer, the Williamson Street General Store in Bendigo, was the location of an important media announcement by Victorian Greens leader Greg Barber this month.

He announced Jennifer Alden as The Greens candidate to contest Bendigo East at November’s State Election.

One of Alden’s main priority’s will be developing the region’s renewable energy industry and believes Bendigo has the potential to become “the solar capital of Victoria”.

It was fitting the announcement was made in front of the General Store, who last year, invested strongly in solar power, to drastically reduce their electricity consumption and have a positive impact on both their energy bills and the environment.

“People who show leadership and put their money up for particular investments like

[The Bridgewater Solar Systems] project are the type of things that will inspire other people to do similarly,” Alden said.
